Casa Fuzetta is an exceptional private home in the heart of the authentic fishing town of Olhão, in the unspoilt eastern Algarve, Portugal.
The house is available to rent on an exclusive basis throughout the year for wellness retreats, corporate retreats, special celebrations, multi-generational holidays and photo shoots. (The Algarve is one of the few areas in Europe to enjoy 300 days of sunshine per year!) It is ideal for large families*, friends and groups seeking a high-end, yet relaxed, private and intimate location for time together, special occasions and/or retreats. The house sleeps up to 22 in style and comfort, and is located within a fifteen minute drive of Faro airport, which itself is less than 3 hours away from London and other major European cities. *(with children aged 8 years or more)
In this final episode of Season 2, Tara and Kate explore the fascinating journey of Anna Henriques, founder of the Golden Web Retreat, a healing sanctuary situated near Fuseta, in the eastern Algarve of Portugal.
Anna shares her incredible story, from her origins in Jamaica and New York, to her unexpected Portuguese citizenship through Sephardic Jewish heritage, and her ultimate decision to settle in Portugal. The narrative interweaves historical events like the Spanish Inquisition and Jewish pirates of the Caribbean with Anna's personal quest for belonging and community. Along the way, Anna discusses the vision and development of the Golden Web Retreat, highlighting its natural beauty, spiritual environment, and future plans.
The episode is set against the backdrop of nature, with vivid descriptions of local wildlife and landscape.
